In Year 2, the children have been using Bee‑Bots, small programmable floor robots, to help them understand the basics of computing and algorithms.

Pupils have been learning how to complete a range of different tasks:

• Create simple algorithms by planning a set of instructions for the Bee‑Bot to follow.
• Program the route using the buttons on the Bee‑Bot to move forwards, backwards, left, and right.
• Test their instructions to see if the Bee‑Bot reaches the correct destination.
• Debug their work by identifying and correcting mistakes if the Bee‑Bot doesn’t go where they expected.
