World Book Day 2026 has been a great success, and I would like to thank everyone for the effort and enthusiasm shown throughout the day and week.
The excitement around school has been wonderful to see, with pupils and staff embracing the chance to celebrate stories, characters, and the wider world of reading. The creativity on display, in costumes, activities, and lessons, has added a real sense of enjoyment to the day.
Most importantly, the event has strengthened the focus on the joy and importance of reading. World Book Day reminds us how reading supports imagination, knowledge, and confidence, and how it enriches learning across all subjects. Today’s celebrations have highlighted just how powerful stories can be in inspiring curiosity and a love of reading.
Thank you to Mrs Dixon (Reading lead) and staff for their hard work in preparing such a successful day, and to our pupils for their enthusiasm and imaginative contributions.
