Year 2 were transported back to Victorian times on our trip to the Victorian Tunnel in the Ouseburn, Newcastle. The students learned all about the fascinating history attached to the local area, handling and viewing items relating to Victorian life. The highlight of the day was entering the vast tunnel with our guides very much in character. The experience was invaluable as it allowed all children to learn about the time period and the dangers of mining in a totally immersive way.
